I’m Sandy, a certified Foot Zone Therapist, foot zone therapy instructor, Reiki Master,  Certified in Carol Tuttle‘s Master Energy Healing Program, music teacher, wife and mother. My family and I have been blessed to be pretty healthy, so I don’t have any exciting or dramatic story of how these healing tools have changed my life. But like many other things, this experience has been part of many other small and simple things that are helping me to gradually become a better person, be more self-sufficient and take better care of my family.

I’m the creator and organizer of the free monthly Healer Hangout in Utah County. I’ve met all sorts of amazing people as I learn and develop my skills. I wanted to create a venue where more people can make connections on a regular basis instead of waiting for big events or paid classes.

While I had long been aware of reflexology and its potential, it wasn’t until summer of 2013 that things fell into place and I became much more interested and involved. In the fall, I attended a 2-day boot camp course with Family Foot Reflexology in Salt Lake,  and in March 2014 I apprenticed at a similar course in Boise, and completed my certification. I have learned, and continue to learn many great tools to help my family and friends to be self-sufficient and healthy without relying on toxic chemicals or pharmaceutical drugs for our well being. Some of them include reiki, Elan Light Therapy, tapping, emotional release, guided imagery and hypnosis. We moved to Eagle Mountain, Utah (City Center) in 2013 and have enjoyed getting to know people in this great community.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and even though I’ve now lived in Utah for many years, I still claim Washington State as home. I graduated in 2008 from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Music Education and teach piano, violin and viola out of my home. I love teaching music and helping people learn skills and develop talents that make their lives better.

I am married to a wonderful man and have two great kids. Taking care of my family is a deep passion, and the desire to help my family and have tools to make us healthier and happier was what really got me interested in foot zoning and healing. After my first son was born, I became much more interested in health than I had been previously (the decision to cloth diaper was a large part of that — it is a gateway habit). I’m blessed to be able to be a stay-at-home wife and mother and enjoy learning new ways to fix wholesome meals and grow my own food.  While I’ve only been doing this for a few years, it has already had a great impact on my life and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my skills with others!
